I uncovered my passion for music during my first time listening to Elvis Presley with my dad. From that point on, I was involved in recording music and song writing.
I followed my dream to New York City and I write my lyrics and produce my songs in my home studio.
I find inspiration all around me. I try to make my music representative of myself and my generation. I love the places that most people don't give a second glance.
Demetrios Doundas, (born February 28, 1987) known professionally as Demetrius, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Demetrius is a recording artist, songwriter and record producer.
At age seven, Demetrius heard Grandmaster Flash (The Message) and became infatuated with hip hop music after that. Demetrius moved to Allentown, PA at age eleven. Born of Greek descent, Demetrius makes music that is to be revered by the gods.
Influenced by artists such as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, Jay Z, Nas, Kanye West and Eminem, Demetrius started writing and recording music at age thirteen. In 2009, Demetrius was discovered by songwriter and record producer Dr. Freeze (Michael Jackson, Bell Biv Devoe, Color Me Badd) and started working on his album shortly after. Taking years to perfect his craft and sound, Demetrius set out to put out music that is generation defining. Demetrius worked as a background actor (extra) in the film Project Artemis/Eleven starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum.
Despite not putting out a record after recording music for many years, Demetrius assures his fans that you can do anything you want in life and to not let anyone hurry up your process. Demetrius urges his fans all over the world to go after your dream and to never give up on it.
